This feature is perfect for mobile phone users who also use a
computer for internet chatting or a business person who has multiple phones.
This is unique to the X3 micro, no other Bluetooth headset in the world has this feature. |

Compatibility
Make phone calls for free by using voice chat software such as Skype, MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, Google Talk, Net Meeting or ICQ etc.
When connected to a computer, the X3 micro becomes the default Sound playback device so that any program which utilises the Soundcard can send and receive audio signals from to the headset.
To connect correctly your computers Bluetooth port must support the correct Bluetooth Profiles.
These are the Headset Profile or the Handsfree Profile.
Check with your computer vendor to make sure these profiles are supported.
Also check for Bluetooth updates from your vendor as these Profiles may have been added after the computer went to market and can be downloaded from their site in a Bluetooth update/patch.
Windows PC
Internal Bluetooth Ports.
If your PC has Bluetooth built in, it most likely is using software from Broadcom/Widcomm, Toshiba or Bluesoleil. This software supports Headset/Handsfree and can be used with the X3.
To check which is being used – Click… Start Button > Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager > Bluetooth USB
Or alternatively check the properties section of the Bluetooth interface to see which Profiles are supported.
Generally, updates for internal Bluetooth devices are provided by the maker of the PC and can be accessed from their support web pages.
External Bluetooth USB Dongles.
If you have a Bluetooth dongle that you plug into a USB port of you PC, you must load the software CD that came with the dongle.
All new Bluetooth dongles should have Headset or Handsfree Profiles. Older dongles may need updated drivers.
Check with the maker of the dongle for any updated drivers as the Headset/Handsfree profile may have been added if it is not already there.
Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 includes its own generic Bluetooth software which does not support the Headset/Handsfree Bluetooth profiles.
Apple Mac.
Apple computers have their own Bluetooth Software which supports the Headset/Handsfree Profile. No external software is required for either Internal or External Bluetooth devices.
Compatibility depends on the Bluetooth module used and whether it supports these profiles.
